The poem made me sad but also gave me hope. The video and music of
Twenty One Pilots - Drag Path (Lyrics) drew me in even more. Definitely a poem put to music.
I might add a few words however, to "When I see the Devil's eyes..." I would add, "When I see an Angel's eyes ..." And aren't we all looking to be seen and in life to be found by others but more importantly to find oneself and our place in life hoping to have mattered.

I'm glad you liked this piece, Michael! What I've always taken away from the music is that the Angel is whoever the singer is pleading to. It is sad and hopeful, and those two things blend together beautifully. The official music video for the song also adds another layer to the depth of the piece, though I'll spare you from that part. It's a little brutal.
