Poem: It Is Raining.

Humans. They have the ability to be such amazing things— so accomplished, loving, and kind. When they come together to acheive, to bring… justice and progress.

But there lies the other side of the coin, one held by what you’d think is a smaller group. They’ve grasped a chokehold so big it endangers not only themselves, but everyone and everything.

And that chokehold has allowed into power a person who is not only unfit physically or powerfully, but ethically to the highest degree. A person so decrepit and corrupt that he has brought us into another war just to save himself.

It’s pathetic. Is waging a war against your own citizens not enough? Is killing the leader of Venezuala and taking control not enough? Is it ever enough?

What exactly is enough to a man who is insecure, mentally declined, and is the largest narcissist I’ve ever seen?

Nothing. And it won’t ever be. Not unless everything goes down with him, and I assure you, that’s what he plans on doing, if he can help it.

Rain falls slow,
Blanketing lush ground
In hues of deafness.

The sky a bizarre
Mixture of longing
And anger.

Perhaps, it is how the
World grieves.

Or, this is how the
Earth lacks forgiveness.

Each drop of wet
Glistens like the tear of
A child who was never
Allowed their chance
To cry.

Each cloud of gray
A bubble holding back
Relentless defiance
Towards the crimes
Committed.

Not ones by you or me,
But instead by those
Complacent, but never
Held accountable.

Rain falls fast,
Flooding grounds
All muddied.

The horizon flashes
With hot temper,
A reminder of what
Isn’t to be trifled with.

And it continues
Till all life has gone.
Till only mourning
Is left to be expressed.

Till only its grief
Serves as a reminder of
What was and what
Should’ve been done.

A reminder of a time
When justice and love
Still existed.

Can’t forget about those complacent. Even if they were indoctrinated, brainwashed by the news and media— perhaps for some from a young age. Who could want such tyranny overunning the government and our country? Who could want masked men taking our immigrant neighbors and children? Or our own citizens even?

ICE is complacent. Republicans? Complacent. What about Democrats? They’re complacent, too. Hell, they can’t even get their shit together half of the time. Is that who you’re really going to rely on to protect this country? Blue hats who only want to protect the status quo, AKA their billionaire donors?

Every chance that party is given to make actual change, to create a better future, they turn those opportunities down. I mean, just look at Zohran Mamdani, for example. They went full blow assault mode on him just for being a progressive— for showing that he cares and wants changes to help the working class.

But growth and change for the working class doesn’t benefit those corporate interests.

When does it ever?
